Muhammad’s wife Ghada with JoJo and twin daughters Lina (in corrective glasses) and Dina, February 2023. They stand at a new door to one of three new rooms for a better life, which we’re building together via “Family To Family.”
Shaphir was/is the home village of Muhammad’s family, and in agricultural and cultural terms, it really was/is “a land of milk and honey”!
The apartheid blockade of Gaza and severe restrictions make the arrival of every building supply an occasion!
This Gaza craftsman named Jihad works on one of three doorways to new rooms in Muhammad’s house.
Muhammad & Ghada take twins Dina (left) and Lina (right) and son JoJo on every local outing they can to keep their spirits up. This is their first visit to the seashore in Gaza City!
Like kids everywhere, Dina & JoJo enjoy video games—and sharing the controls makes twice the fun!
Is Muhammad’s & Ghada’s son JoJo (real name Jihad, for his grandfather) getting more handsome all the time? Sometimes we (and Dina here) call him “Hollywood”!
